And he said to her, “Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, ‘Give me your vineyard for money, or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it.’ And he answered, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’”

And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.

Er erzählte ihr: Ich habe mit Nabot aus Jesreel verhandelt und ihm gesagt: Verkauf mir deinen Weinberg für Geld, oder wenn es dir lieber ist, gebe ich dir einen anderen dafür. Doch er hat geantwortet: Ich werde dir meinen Weinberg nicht geben.
