After some years he went down to Ahab in Samaria. And Ahab killed an abundance of sheep and oxen for him and for the people who were with him, and induced him to go up against Ramoth-gilead.

And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramothgilead.

Nach einigen Jahren besuchte er Ahab in Samaria. Der israelitische König ließ für seinen Gast und dessen Gefolge viele Schafe und Rinder schlachten. Dann versuchte er, ihn zu einem gemeinsamen Feldzug gegen die Stadt Ramot im Gebiet von Gilead zu überreden.

Als er nach einigen Jahren zu Ahab nach Samaria kam, ließ Ahab für ihn und seine Leute eine Menge Schafe und Rinder schlachten und überredete ihn, gegen Ramot-Gilead in den Krieg zu ziehen.
