Ahaziah Reigns in Judah
And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, his youngest son, king in his place, for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

Und die zu Jerusalem machten zum König Ahasja, seinen jüngsten Sohn, an seiner Statt. Denn die Kriegsleute, die aus den Arabern zum Lager kamen, hatten die ersten alle erwürgt; darum ward König Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams, des Königs in Juda.

Die Einwohner von Jerusalem ernannten Jorams jüngsten Sohn Ahasja zu seinem Nachfolger. Jorams ältere Söhne waren alle von den Räuberbanden umgebracht worden, die mit den Arabern ins Heerlager der Judäer eingedrungen waren. Darum trat Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams von Juda, die Herrschaft an.

Die Einwohner Jerusalems machten nun seinen jüngsten Sohn Ahasja zum König an seiner Stelle. Alle älteren Brüder hatte die Räuberbande getötet, die mit den Arabern in das Lager eingedrungen war. So kam Ahasja, der Sohn Jorams, des Königs von Juda, zur Herrschaft.
