Am 14. Tag des 2. Monats wurden die Passahlämmer geschlachtet. Diesmal hatten die Priester und Leviten sich rechtzeitig für den Dienst im Heiligtum gereinigt. Sie schämten sich, dass sie bisher so nachlässig gewesen waren. So konnten sie nun die Brandopfer im Tempel des HERRN darbringen.
