But Rahab the prostitute and her father’s household and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive. And she has lived in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.

Von den Einwohnern der Stadt ließ Josua niemanden am Leben außer der Prostituierten Rahab, der Familie ihres Vaters und ihren anderen Verwandten. Denn sie hatte die israelitischen Kundschafter versteckt, die Josua nach Jericho gesandt hatte. Noch heute lebt sie in Israel.

Die Dirne Rahab und die Familie ihres Vaters und alles, was ihr gehörte, ließ Josua am Leben. So wohnt ihre Familie bis heute mitten in Israel; denn Rahab hatte die Boten versteckt, die Josua ausgesandt hatte, um Jericho auskundschaften zu lassen.
