Der König fragte: Wo ist der Sohn deines Herrn? Ziba antwortete dem König: Er ist in Jerusalem geblieben; denn er hat gesagt: Heute wird mir das Haus Israel das Königtum meines Vaters wiedergeben.

Der König sprach: Wo ist der Sohn deines Herrn? Ziba sprach zum König: Siehe, er blieb zu Jerusalem; denn er sprach: Heute wird mir das Haus Israel meines Vaters Reich wiedergeben.

»Und wo ist Mefi-Boschet, der Enkel deines früheren Herrn?«, fragte der König. Ziba antwortete: »Der wollte in Jerusalem bleiben. Er hat behauptet, dass die Israeliten ihm heute das Königreich seines Großvaters Saul zurückgeben werden.«
