Sie sagten zum König: Der Mann, der uns vernichten wollte und der darauf aus war, uns auszurotten, sodass wir uns in keinem Gebiet Israels mehr hätten halten können,

Sie sprachen zum König: Den Mann, der uns verderbt und zunichte gemacht hat, sollen wir vertilgen, daß ihm nichts bleibe in allen Grenzen Israels.

Da sagten die Gibeoniter: »Saul plante unseren Untergang, er wollte uns vernichten, damit es in ganz Israel niemanden mehr von uns gibt.
