Auf allen Kulthöhen brachten sie Räucheropfer dar wie die Völker, die der HERR vor ihnen vertrieben hatte, taten böse Dinge und erzürnten dadurch den HERRN.

und räucherten daselbst auf allen Höhen wie die Heiden, die der HERR vor ihnen weggetrieben hatte, und sie trieben böse Stücke, den HERRN zu erzürnen,

Dort verbrannten sie Opfergaben, so wie es schon bei den Völkern üblich war, die der HERR aus dem Land vertrieben hatte. Mit all diesen Vergehen forderten sie den Zorn des HERRN heraus.
