Noch während er mit ihnen redete, kam der König und sagte: Dieses Elend kommt vom HERRN. Was soll ich noch vom HERRN erwarten?

Da er noch also mit ihnen redete, siehe, da kam der Bote zu ihm hinab; und er sprach: Siehe, solches Übel kommt von dem HERRN! was soll ich mehr von dem HERRN erwarten?

Elisa hatte noch nicht ausgeredet, da waren der Bote und gleich nach ihm der König auch schon herangeeilt. Der König fuhr Elisa an: »Der HERR hat uns in dieses Unglück gestürzt! Warum sollte ich von ihm noch Hilfe erwarten?«
