Sie gaben es den Zimmerleuten und Bauarbeitern zum Ankauf von Bruchsteinen und Holz zur Beschaffung der Klammern und zur Erneuerung des Gebälks in den Gebäuden, die von den Königen von Juda vernachlässigt worden waren.

nämlich den Zimmerleuten und Bauleuten, gehauene Steine zu kaufen und Holz zu Klammern und Balken an den Häusern, welche die Könige Juda’s verderbt hatten.

Die Handwerker kauften damit auch Bausteine und Holz für die Balken. Alle Gebäudeteile mussten nämlich mit neuen Balken ausgestattet werden, weil die Könige von Juda sie hatten verfallen lassen.
