Nach diesen Ereignissen zeichnete König Artaxerxes den Agagiter Haman, den Sohn Hammedatas, in besonderer Weise aus und gab ihm einen höheren Rang als allen anderen Fürsten seiner Umgebung.

Nach diesen Geschichten machte der König Ahasveros Haman groß, den Sohn Hammedathas, den Agagiter, und erhöhte ihn und setzte seinen Stuhl über alle Fürsten, die bei ihm waren.

Einige Zeit später gab König Xerxes einem Mann namens Haman die höchste Stellung am Königshof. Er war ein Sohn von Hammedata und Nachkomme von Agag.
