Die Boten ritten hinaus, durch königlichen Befehl zur Eile gedrängt. Während das Gesetz in der Burg Susa veröffentlicht wurde, saßen der König und Haman beisammen und tranken; die Stadt Susa aber war in großer Aufregung.

Und die Läufer gingen aus eilend nach des Königs Wort, und zu Schloß Susan ward das Gebot angeschlagen. Und der König und Haman saßen und tranken; aber die Stadt Susan ward bestürzt.

Der König befahl den Eilboten, sich schnell auf den Weg zu machen. Auch in der Residenz Susa wurde der Erlass veröffentlicht. Und während die Menschen in der ganzen Stadt in heller Aufregung waren, hielten der König und Haman ein Trinkgelage ab.
