Als er am nächsten Tag wieder hinausging, sah er zwei Hebräer miteinander streiten. Er sagte zu dem, der im Unrecht war: Warum schlägst du deinen Stammesgenossen?

Auf einen andern Tag ging er auch aus und sah zwei hebräische Männer sich miteinander zanken und sprach zu dem Ungerechten: Warum schlägst du deinen Nächsten?

Am nächsten Tag ging er wieder dorthin und sah zwei Hebräer miteinander streiten. »Warum schlägst du einen Mann aus deinem eigenen Volk?«, fragte Mose den, der im Unrecht war.
