Aber die vom Haus Israel waren widerspenstig gegen mich in der Wüste. Sie gingen nicht nach meinen Satzungen und verachteten meine Rechtsentscheide, die der Mensch befolgen muss, damit er durch sie am Leben bleibt. Auch meine Sabbat-Tage entweihten sie völlig. Da gedachte ich, in der Wüste über sie meinen Zorn auszugießen und sie zu vernichten.

Aber das Haus Israel war mir ungehorsam auch in der Wüste und lebten nicht nach meinen Geboten und verachteten meine Rechte, durch welche der Mensch lebt, der sie hält, und entheiligten meine Sabbate sehr. Da gedachte ich meinem Grimm über sie auszuschütten in der Wüste und sie ganz umzubringen.

Aber auch dort in der Wüste lehnten sich die Israeliten gegen mich auf; sie hielten sich nicht an meine Gebote und schlugen meine Weisungen in den Wind, die doch jedem Leben bringen, der sie befolgt. Auch den Sabbat entweihten sie auf schlimmste Weise. Da wollte ich meinen Zorn an ihnen auslassen und sie in der Wüste vernichten.
