Die Töchter Zelofhads, des Sohnes Hefers, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses, aus den Sippen Manasses, des Sohnes Josefs, traten heran. Dies waren die Namen seiner Töchter: Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Tirza.
A Law of Inheritance
Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, came near; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah and Milcah and Tirzah.
Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, came near; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah and Milcah and Tirzah.
Sie stellten sich vor Mose und vor den Priester Eleasar und vor die Anführer und die ganze Gemeinde an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes und sagten:
They stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the leaders and all the congregation, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, saying,
Unser Vater ist in der Wüste gestorben. Er war aber nicht inmitten der Gemeinde, die sich in Korachs Gefolge gegen den HERRN zusammengerottet hatte, sondern er ist wegen seiner eigenen Sünde gestorben. Aber er hinterließ keine Söhne.
“Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.
Warum soll nun der Name unseres Vaters aus der Mitte seiner Sippe verschwinden, weil er keinen Sohn hatte? Gib uns Grundbesitz bei den Brüdern unseres Vaters!
“Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father’s brothers.”
Die Töchter Zelofhads haben recht geredet. Du musst ihnen vererbbaren Grundbesitz bei den Brüdern ihres Vaters geben, also den Erbbesitz ihres Vaters auf sie übertragen.
“The daughters of Zelophehad are right in their statements. You shall surely give them a hereditary possession among their father’s brothers, and you shall transfer the inheritance of their father to them.
Sag zu den Israeliten: Wenn jemand ohne Sohn stirbt, dann übertragt seinen Erbbesitz auf seine Tochter!
“Further, you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘If a man dies and has no son, then you shall transfer his inheritance to his daughter.
Hat er keine Tochter, dann gebt seinen Erbbesitz seinen Brüdern!
‘If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
Hat er keine Brüder, dann gebt seinen Erbbesitz den Brüdern seines Vaters!
‘If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
Hat sein Vater keine Brüder, dann gebt seinen Erbbesitz dem nächsten Verwandten aus seiner Sippe; er soll ihn erben. Das werde für die Israeliten zur Satzung und zum Rechtsentscheid, wie der HERR es Mose geboten hatte.
‘If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his nearest relative in his own family, and he shall possess it; and it shall be a statutory ordinance to the sons of Israel, just as the LORD commanded Moses.’”
Der HERR sprach zu Mose: Steig auf das Abarimgebirge dort und sieh dir das Land an, das ich den Israeliten gegeben habe!
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go up to this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.
Wenn du es gesehen hast, wirst auch du mit deinen Vorfahren vereint werden wie dein Bruder Aaron;
“When you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was;
denn ihr habt euch in der Wüste Zin meinem Befehl widersetzt, als die Gemeinde haderte und ihr durch das Wasser vor ihren Augen hättet bezeugen sollen, dass ich der Heilige bin. Das ist das Haderwasser von Kadesch in der Wüste Zin.
for in the wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to treat Me as holy before their eyes at the water.” (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
Der HERR, der Gott des Lebensatems für alles Fleisch, setze einen Mann über die Gemeinde ein,
“May the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
der vor ihnen auszieht und vor ihnen einzieht, der sie hinausführt und hineinführt; die Gemeinde des HERRN soll nicht sein wie Schafe und Ziegen, die keinen Hirten haben.
who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the LORD will not be like sheep which have no shepherd.”
Der HERR antwortete Mose: Nimm dir Josua, den Sohn Nuns, einen Mann, der mit Geist begabt ist, und leg ihm deine Hand auf!
So the LORD said to Moses, “Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;
Dann lass ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und vor die ganze Gemeinde treten und gib ihm vor ihren Augen deine Anweisungen!
and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight.
Gib ihm etwas von deiner Würde, damit die ganze Gemeinde der Israeliten auf ihn hört.
“You shall put some of your authority on him, in order that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey him.
Er soll vor den Priester Eleasar treten und der wird für ihn vor dem HERRN den Rechtsentscheid des Urim-Orakels erfragen. Auf dessen Befehl hin sollen sie ausziehen und einziehen, er und mit ihm alle Israeliten und die ganze Gemeinde.
“Moreover, he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD. At his command they shall go out and at his command they shall come in, both he and the sons of Israel with him, even all the congregation.”
Mose tat, was ihm der HERR geboten hatte. Er nahm Josua und ließ ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und vor die ganze Gemeinde treten.
Moses did just as the LORD commanded him; and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.
