Denn darin besteht die Liebe, dass wir nach seinen Geboten wandeln. Und darin besteht das Gebot, das ihr von Anfang an gehört habt: dass ihr in der Wahrheit wandelt.

Und das ist die Liebe, daß wir wandeln nach seinem Gebot; das ist das Gebot, wie ihr gehört habt von Anfang, daß ihr in derselben wandeln sollt.

Diese Liebe zeigt sich darin, dass wir nach Gottes Geboten leben. Und sein Gebot ist dasselbe, das euch von Anfang an gesagt worden ist: Liebt einander! Davon sollt ihr euer ganzes Leben bestimmen lassen.
