Die Männer antworteten ihr: Wir bürgen mit unserem Leben für euch, wenn ihr nur unsere Sache nicht verratet. Wenn uns der HERR das Land gibt, werden wir dir Gnade und Treue erweisen.

Die Männer sprachen zu ihr: Tun wir nicht Barmherzigkeit und Treue an dir, wenn uns der HERR das Land gibt, so soll unsere Seele für euch des Todes sein, sofern du unser Geschäft nicht verrätst.

Die Männer antworteten ihr: »Wenn ihr uns nicht verratet, stehen wir mit unserem Leben dafür ein, dass euch nichts getan wird. Wenn der HERR uns dieses Land gibt, werden wir unser Versprechen einlösen und euch verschonen.«
