Die Priester aber, die die Lade trugen, blieben mitten im Jordan stehen, bis alles geschehen war, was der HERR durch Josua dem Volk befohlen hatte, ganz so, wie Mose dem Josua befohlen hatte, und das Volk beeilte sich und zog hinüber.

Denn die Priester, die die Lade trugen, standen mitten im Jordan, bis daß alles ausgerichtet ward, was der HERR dem Josua geboten hatte dem Volk zu sagen; wie denn Mose Josua geboten hatte. Und das Volk eilte und ging hinüber.

Die Priester mit der Bundeslade standen noch immer im Flussbett. Sie blieben so lange dort, bis Josua und das Volk alle Weisungen des HERRN ausgeführt hatten, ganz wie es Moses Willen entsprach. Die Israeliten hatten den Fluss so schnell wie möglich durchquert.
