And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.

Er überwältigte den Drachen, die alte Schlange — das ist der Teufel oder der Satan — , und er fesselte ihn für tausend Jahre.
He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
Er warf ihn in den Abgrund, verschloss diesen und drückte ein Siegel darauf, damit der Drache die Völker nicht mehr verführen konnte, bis die tausend Jahre vollendet sind. Danach muss er für kurze Zeit freigelassen werden.
He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.
Dann sah ich Throne; und denen, die darauf Platz nahmen, wurde das Gericht übertragen. Ich sah die Seelen aller, die enthauptet worden waren um des Zeugnisses für Jesus und des Wortes Gottes willen. Sie hatten das Tier und sein Standbild nicht angebetet und sie hatten das Kennzeichen nicht auf ihrer Stirn und auf ihrer Hand anbringen lassen. Sie gelangten zum Leben und zur Herrschaft mit Christus für tausend Jahre.
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. Theya had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Die übrigen Toten kamen nicht zum Leben, bis die tausend Jahre vollendet waren. Das ist die erste Auferstehung.
(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.
Selig und heilig, wer an der ersten Auferstehung teilhat! Über solche hat der zweite Tod keine Gewalt. Sie werden Priester Gottes und Christi sein und tausend Jahre mit ihm herrschen.
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
Wenn die tausend Jahre vollendet sind, wird der Satan aus seinem Gefängnis freigelassen werden.

and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth — Gog and Magog — and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
Sie schwärmten aus über die weite Erde und umzingelten das Lager der Heiligen und Gottes geliebte Stadt. Aber Feuer fiel vom Himmel und verzehrte sie.
They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
Und der Teufel, ihr Verführer, wurde in den See von brennendem Schwefel geworfen, wo auch das Tier und der falsche Prophet sind. Tag und Nacht werden sie gequält, in alle Ewigkeit.
And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Dann sah ich einen großen weißen Thron und den, der auf ihm saß; vor seinem Anblick flohen Erde und Himmel und es gab keinen Platz mehr für sie.

Ich sah die Toten vor dem Thron stehen, die Großen und die Kleinen. Und Bücher wurden aufgeschlagen; und ein anderes Buch, das Buch des Lebens, wurde geöffnet. Die Toten wurden gerichtet, nach dem, was in den Büchern aufgeschrieben war, nach ihren Taten.
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.
Und das Meer gab die Toten heraus, die in ihm waren; und der Tod und die Unterwelt gaben ihre Toten heraus, die in ihnen waren. Sie wurden gerichtet, jeder nach seinen Taten.
The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.
Der Tod und die Unterwelt aber wurden in den Feuersee geworfen. Das ist der zweite Tod: der Feuersee.
Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.
