Hoffnung für Alle
Jakob sonderte sie aus und ließ sie im Blickfeld der übrigen Herde weiden. Wenn nun die Tiere der Herde brünstig wurden und sich paarten, hatten sie Jakobs Herde vor Augen. Deshalb warfen auch sie gestreifte, gefleckte und gesprenkelte Jungtiere. Daraus bildete er seine eigene Herde.

Da schied Jakob die Lämmer und richtete die Herde mit dem Angesicht gegen die Gefleckten und Schwarzen in der Herde Labans und machte sich eine eigene Herde, die tat er nicht zu der Herde Labans.

Die Lämmer teilte Jakob auf. Er richtete den Blick der Tiere auf das Gestreifte und alles Dunkle in der Herde Labans. So legte er sich selbst Herden zu und tat sie nicht zum Vieh Labans.
