Doch einer nach dem anderen blieb erschüttert stehen, als er Amasas blutüberströmte Leiche mitten auf dem Weg liegen sah. Da schleifte der Soldat den Toten weg auf ein Feld und warf einen Mantel über ihn, damit die Männer sich nicht durch seinen Anblick aufhalten ließen.

Amasa aber lag im Blut gewälzt mitten auf der Straße. Da aber der Mann sah, daß alles Volk da stehenblieb, wandte er Amasa von der Straße auf den Acker und warf Kleider auf ihn, weil er sah, daß, wer an ihn kam, stehenblieb.

Amasa aber hatte sich in seinem Blut mitten auf der Straße gewälzt. Als der Mann sah, dass alle Leute stehen blieben, schaffte er Amasa von der Straße weg auf das Feld und warf ein Kleidungsstück über ihn, weil jeder, der vorbeikam und ihn sah, stehen blieb.
