Hiram ließ die beiden Säulen vor der Eingangshalle des Tempels aufstellen. Die rechte nannte er Jachin (»Er wird aufrichten«) und die linke Boas (»In ihm ist Stärke«).

Und er richtete die Säulen auf vor der Halle des Tempels. Und die er zur rechten Hand setzte, hieß er Jachin, und die er zur linken Hand setzte, hieß er Boas.

Er stellte die Säulen an der Vorhalle des Tempels auf. Die eine Säule stellte er auf die rechte Seite und nannte sie Jachin, die andere stellte er auf die linke Seite und nannte sie Boas.
