Da befahl Jehu seinen Leuten: »Packt sie!« Sie nahmen die Männer fest und brachten sie zur Zisterne von Bet-Eked. Dort wurden alle hingerichtet. Es waren zweiundvierzig Männer. Keiner von ihnen konnte entkommen.

Er aber sprach: Greifet sie lebendig! Und sie griffen sie lebendig und schlachteten sie bei dem Brunnen am Hirtenhaus, 42 Mann, und ließen nicht einen von ihnen übrig.

Da befahl er: Ergreift sie lebendig! Man ergriff sie lebendig und machte sie am Brunnen von Bet-Eked nieder. Es waren zweiundvierzig Mann; keinen von ihnen ließ er am Leben.
