Während König Sauls Regierungszeit führten sie Krieg gegen die Hagariter. Sie töteten sie und ließen sich dort nieder, wo die Hagariter gewohnt hatten. So gehörte nun das ganze Gebiet Ost-Gilead den Nachkommen von Ruben.

Und zur Zeit Sauls führten sie Krieg wider die Hagariter, daß die fielen durch ihre Hand, und wohnten in deren Hütten auf der ganzen Morgengrenze von Gilead.

In den Tagen Sauls führten sie Krieg mit den Hagaritern. Diese fielen in ihre Hand und sie wohnten in deren Zelten auf der ganzen Ostseite von Gilead.
