Xerxes ließ die Angelegenheit untersuchen, und als die Verschwörung aufgedeckt wurde, kamen die beiden Schuldigen an den Galgen. Der König befahl, den Vorfall in der Chronik des persischen Reiches festzuhalten.

Und da man nachforschte, ward’s gefunden, und sie wurden beide an Bäume gehängt. Und es ward geschrieben in die Chronik vor dem König.

Die Sache wurde untersucht und aufgedeckt. Man hängte die beiden an den Galgen und hielt das Ereignis in der Chronik fest, die für den König geführt wurde.
