So arbeitete Ruth während der ganzen Gersten- und Weizenernte zusammen mit den Mägden von Boas. Sie wohnte weiter bei ihrer Schwiegermutter.

Also hielt sie sich zu den Dirnen des Boas, daß sie las, bis daß die Gerstenernte und Weizenernte aus war; und kam wieder zu ihrer Schwiegermutter.

Rut hielt sich beim Ährenlesen an die Mägde des Boas, bis die Gersten- und Weizenernte beendet war. Danach blieb sie bei ihrer Schwiegermutter.
