Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Wer Gott gehorcht, darf mich zurechtweisen, wenn ich schuldig werde; denn er meint es gut mit mir. Es ist eine große Hilfe, wenn er mir meine Fehler vorhält. Ich wehre mich nicht gegen seinen Rat. Die Übeltäter tun weiter viel Böses, aber ich bete darum, dass Gott eingreift.

Schlägt mich ein Gerechter, ist es Liebe, weist er mich zurecht, ist es Salböl, das mein Haupt nicht verweigert. Ja, immer noch bete ich für sie trotz ihrer Bosheit.
