Und das ganze Land weinte mit lauter Stimme, und alles Volk ging mit. Und der König ging über den Bach Kidron, und alles Volk ging vor auf dem Wege, der zur Wüste geht.

Schließlich überquerte David den Bach Kidron und schlug den Weg in Richtung Wüste ein. Die Leute von Jerusalem weinten laut, als sie den König und sein Gefolge fliehen sahen.

Das ganze Land weinte laut, als die Leute vorüberzogen. Dann überschritt der König den Bach Kidron und alle zogen weiter auf dem Weg zur Steppe.
