Und die Frau kam hinein zu allem Volk mit ihrer Weisheit. Und sie hieben Seba, dem Sohn Bichris, den Kopf ab und warfen ihn zu Joab. Da blies er die Posaune, und sie zerstreuten sich von der Stadt, ein jeglicher in seine Hütte. Joab aber kam wieder gen Jerusalem zum König.

Sie redete mit den Einwohnern Abel-Bet-Maachas und setzte mit ihrer Klugheit ihren Plan durch: Man enthauptete Scheba und warf seinen Kopf zu Joab hinaus. Dieser blies das Horn als Zeichen zum Aufbruch, und die Soldaten kehrten in ihre Heimatorte zurück. Joab aber ging nach Jerusalem zu König David.

Dann ging die kluge Frau zu allen Leuten und sie schlugen Scheba, dem Sohn Bichris, den Kopf ab und warfen ihn Joab zu. Da ließ Joab das Widderhorn blasen und alle zogen von der Stadt ab und gingen wieder zu ihren Zelten; Joab aber kehrte nach Jerusalem zum König zurück.
