Später nahm Joscheba ihn zu sich und hielt ihn sechs Jahre im Tempelbereich verborgen. In dieser Zeit herrschte Atalja als Königin über Juda.

Er blieb sechs Jahre bei ihr im Haus des HERRN verborgen, während Atalja das Land regierte.
