Da kamen Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkias, der Hofmeister, und Sebna, der Schreiber, und Joah, der Sohn Asaphs, der Kanzler, zu Hiskia mit zerrissenen Kleidern und sagten ihm an die Worte des Erzschenken.

Entsetzt zerrissen Eljakim, Schebna und Joach ihre Gewänder. Sie eilten zu Hiskia und wiederholten ihm die ganze Rede des Rabschake.

Der Palastvorsteher Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkijas, der Staatsschreiber Schebna und Joach, der Sohn Asafs, der Sprecher des Königs, gingen mit zerrissenen Kleidern zu Hiskija und berichteten ihm, was der Rabschake gesagt hatte.
