Und der HERR war mit ihm; und wo er auszog, handelte er klüglich. Dazu ward er abtrünnig vom König von Assyrien und war ihm nicht untertan.

Darum stand der HERR ihm bei und ließ ihm alles gelingen, was er unternahm. Hiskia konnte sich von der Herrschaft des assyrischen Königs befreien.

Daher war der HERR mit ihm; in allem, was er unternahm, hatte er Erfolg. So fiel er vom König von Assur ab und war ihm nicht länger untertan.
