Auch die Höhen, die vor Jerusalem waren, zur Rechten am Berge des Verderbens, die Salomo, der König Israels, gebaut hatte der Asthoreth, dem Greuel von Sidon, und Kamos, dem Greuel von Moab, und Milkom, dem Greuel der Kinder Ammon, verunreinigte der König,

Schließlich entweihte er die Opferstätten im Osten Jerusalems, rechts vom Berg des Verderbens. König Salomo hatte sie seinerzeit errichtet. Er hatte sie Astarte, der widerlichen Göttin der Sidonier, geweiht sowie dem moabitischen Götzen Kemosch und Milkom, dem abscheulichen Götzen der Ammoniter.

Desgleichen entweihte der König die Kulthöhen östlich von Jerusalem, südlich vom Berg des Verderbens, die Salomo, der König von Israel, für Astarte, die Göttin der Sidonier, für Kemosch, den Götzen der Moabiter, und für Milkom, den Gräuel der Ammoniter, erbaut hatte.
