Seinesgleichen war vor ihm kein König gewesen, der so von ganzem Herzen, von ganzer Seele, von allen Kräften sich zum HERRN bekehrte nach allem Gesetz Mose’s; und nach ihm kam seinesgleichen nicht auf.

Weder vor noch nach Josia hatte sich ein König dem HERRN so zugewandt wie er. Keiner war so wie er darauf bedacht, von ganzem Herzen, mit ganzer Hingabe und mit all seiner Kraft nach dem Gesetz von Mose zu leben.

Es gab vor ihm keinen König, der so mit ganzem Herzen, mit ganzer Seele und mit all seinen Kräften zum HERRN umkehrte und so getreu die Weisung des Mose befolgte, und auch nach ihm war keiner wie er.
