Und er brach ab die Häuser der Hurer, die an dem Hause des HERRN waren, darin die Weiber wirkten Häuser für die Aschera.

Auch die Häuser direkt beim Tempel, wo die Männer wohnten, die der Tempelprostitution nachgingen, ließ er niederreißen. Dort hatten die Frauen Gewänder für die Göttin Aschera gewebt.

Ferner riss er die Gemächer der Geheiligten am Tempel nieder, in denen die Frauen Schleier für die Aschera webten.
