Aber die Höhen in Israel wurden nicht abgetan; doch war das Herz Asas rechtschaffen sein Leben lang.

Zwar blieben die Opferstätten in Israel auch unter Asas Herrschaft bestehen, aber sonst diente er Gott von ganzem Herzen, solange er lebte.
