Zu der Zeit kam Hanani, der Seher, zu Asa, dem König Juda’s, und sprach zu ihm: Daß du dich auf den König von Syrien verlassen hast und dich nicht auf den HERRN, deinen Gott, verlassen, darum ist die Macht des Königs von Syrien deiner Hand entronnen.

Zu dieser Zeit kam der Seher Hanani zu König Asa von Juda und sagte zu ihm: »Weil du beim König von Syrien Hilfe gesucht hast, anstatt sie vom HERRN, deinem Gott, zu erwarten, darum hast du dich selbst um den Sieg über den König von Syrien gebracht!

Damals kam der Seher Hanani zu Asa, dem König von Juda, und hielt ihm vor: Weil du dich auf den König von Aram gestützt hast und nicht auf den HERRN, deinen Gott, darum ist das Heer des Königs von Aram deiner Hand entkommen.

Hanani's Message to Asa
And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. -
