Da nun die Obersten der Wagen Josaphat sahen, dachten sie: Es ist der König Israels! und umringten ihn, wider ihn zu streiten. Aber Josaphat schrie; und der HERR half ihm, und Gott wandte sie von ihm.

Bald hatten die syrischen Wagenkämpfer König Joschafat entdeckt. Sie hielten ihn für den König von Israel und griffen ihn von allen Seiten an. Joschafat schrie laut um Hilfe. Da griff der HERR ein und lenkte die Feinde von ihm ab.

Als daher die Obersten der Kriegswagen Joschafat erblickten und ihn für den König von Israel hielten, stürmten sie auf ihn ein, sodass er um Hilfe schrie. Doch der HERR half ihm und lenkte sie von ihm weg.
