Und er unterwies das Volk und bestellte die Sänger dem HERRN, daß sie lobten in heiligem Schmuck und vor den Gerüsteten her zögen und sprächen: Danket dem HERRN; denn seine Barmherzigkeit währet ewiglich.

Joschafat beriet sich mit den Versammelten und stellte daraufhin an die Spitze des Heeres einige Sänger. In Festgewändern sollten sie vor den Soldaten herziehen und den HERRN loben mit dem Lied: »Preist den HERRN, denn seine Gnade hört niemals auf!«

Nachdem er sich mit dem Volk beraten hatte, stellte er Sänger für den HERRN auf, die in heiligem Schmuck dem kampfbereiten Heer voranzogen, Loblieder sangen und riefen: Dankt dem HERRN; denn seine Huld währt ewig!
