Darum tat er, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, wie das Haus Ahab. Denn sie waren seine Ratgeber nach seines Vaters Tode, daß sie ihn verderbten.

Außerdem ließ er sich nach dem Tod seines Vaters von seinen Verwandten aus dem Königshaus Ahab beraten. So tat er, was dem HERRN missfiel, und dies wurde ihm zum Verhängnis.

Wie die Angehörigen des Hauses Ahab tat er, was böse war in den Augen des HERRN; denn diese stürzten ihn nach dem Tod seines Vaters durch ihren Rat ins Verderben.
