Denn die gottlose Athalja und ihre Söhne haben das Haus Gottes zerrissen, und alles, was zum Hause des HERRN geheiligt war, haben sie an die Baalim gebracht.

Du weißt, dass Atalja, diese gottlose Frau, den Tempel verfallen ließ. Ihre Anhänger nahmen die Gaben, die für den HERRN bestimmt waren, für ihre Götzen.«

Denn die Söhne der ruchlosen Atalja haben das Haus Gottes aufgebrochen und sogar die Weihegaben des Hauses des HERRN für die Baale verwendet.
