Also war Usia, der König, aussätzig bis an seinen Tod und wohnte in einem besonderen Hause aussätzig; denn er ward verstoßen vom Hause des HERRN. Jotham aber, sein Sohn, stand des Königs Hause vor und richtete das Volk im Lande.

König Usija blieb bis zu seinem Tod aussätzig. Wegen seiner Krankheit musste er für den Rest seines Lebens in einem abgesonderten Haus wohnen, er durfte auch nie mehr den Tempel des HERRN betreten. Die Regierungsgeschäfte und die Aufsicht über den Palast übergab man seinem Sohn Jotam.

So war König Usija aussätzig bis zu seinem Tod. Da er vom Haus des HERRN ausgeschlossen war, musste er als Aussätziger in einem abgesonderten Haus wohnen, während sein Sohn Jotam Vorsteher des königlichen Palastes war und die Bürger des Landes regierte.

And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.
