Darum gab ihn der HERR, sein Gott, in die Hand des Königs von Syrien, daß sie ihn schlugen und einen großen Haufen von den Seinen gefangen wegführten und gen Damaskus brachten. Auch ward er gegeben unter die Hand des Königs Israels, daß er einen großen Schlag an ihm tat.

Darum gab ihn der HERR, sein Gott, in die Gewalt des Königs von Syrien. Die Syrer besiegten die Judäer, nahmen viele von ihnen gefangen und verschleppten sie nach Damaskus. Auch König Pekach von Israel, der Sohn von Remalja, griff Ahas an und brachte seinem Heer eine schwere Niederlage bei.

Darum gab ihn der HERR, sein Gott, in die Hand des Königs der Aramäer. Sie schlugen ihn, führten ihm viele Gefangene weg und brachten sie nach Damaskus. Ebenso geriet er in die Hand des Königs von Israel. Pekach, der Sohn Remaljas, bereitete ihm eine schwere Niederlage.

Judah Defeated by Syria
Wherefore the LORD his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria; and they smote him, and carried away a great multitude of them captives, and brought them to Damascus. And he was also delivered into the hand of the king of Israel, who smote him with a great slaughter. -
