Es war daselbst aber ein Prophet des HERRN, der hieß Oded; der ging heraus, dem Heer entgegen, das gen Samaria kam, und sprach zu ihnen: Siehe, weil der HERR, eurer Väter Gott, über Juda zornig ist, hat er sie in eure Hände gegeben; ihr aber habt sie erwürgt so greulich, daß es in den Himmel reicht.

In Samaria lebte ein Prophet mit Namen Oded. Als das israelitische Heer von der Schlacht zurückkam, ging Oded den Männern entgegen und rief: »Nur weil der HERR, der Gott eurer Vorfahren, zornig auf Juda war, hat er sie in eure Hand gegeben. Ihr aber habt ein Blutbad angerichtet, das zum Himmel schreit!

Dort lebte ein Prophet des HERRN namens Oded. Dieser ging dem Heer entgegen, das nach Samaria zurückkehrte, und hielt ihm vor: Seht, weil der HERR, der Gott eurer Väter, über Juda erzürnt war, hat er sie in eure Hand gegeben. Ihr habt unter ihnen mit einer Wut gemordet, die zum Himmel schreit.
