Und Hiskia entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und sie begruben ihn, wo man hinangeht zu den Gräbern der Kinder Davids. Und ganz Juda und die zu Jerusalem taten ihm Ehre in seinem Tod. Und sein Sohn Manasse ward König an seiner Statt.

Als er starb, wurde er an einem erhöhten Platz bei den Gräbern von Davids Nachkommen beigesetzt. Die Bewohner von Jerusalem und ganz Juda erwiesen ihm die letzte Ehre. Sein Sohn Manasse wurde zum Nachfolger erklärt.

Hiskija entschlief zu seinen Vätern und man begrub ihn beim Aufgang zu den Gräbern der Nachkommen Davids. Bei seinem Tod erwiesen ihm ganz Juda und die Einwohner Jerusalems die Ehre. Sein Sohn Manasse wurde König an seiner Stelle.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchres of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
