So sollt ihr nun eure Töchter nicht geben ihren Söhnen, und ihre Töchter sollt ihr euren Söhnen nicht nehmen; und suchet nicht ihren Frieden noch ihr Gutes ewiglich, auf daß ihr mächtig werdet und esset das Gut im Lande und vererbet es auf eure Kinder ewiglich.

Darum sollt ihr mit ihnen keine Ehe eingehen — eure Töchter nicht mit ihren Söhnen und eure Söhne nicht mit ihren Töchtern! Fördert niemals den Erfolg und Wohlstand dieser Völker. Wenn ihr euch daran haltet, werdet ihr stark sein, die Ernte eures Landes genießen und es euren Nachkommen für alle Zeiten weitervererben.‹

Darum dürft ihr eure Töchter nicht ihren Söhnen als Frauen geben, noch dürft ihr ihre Töchter für eure Söhne nehmen. Ihr werdet euch niemals um einen Friedens- und Freundschaftsvertrag mit ihnen bemühen. Dann werdet ihr stark sein und die Güter des Landes genießen und sie euren Kindern vererben für alle Zeit.
