Es begab sich auch, da er anbetete im Hause Nisrochs, seines Gottes, erschlugen ihn seine Söhne Adrammelech und Sarezer mit dem Schwert, und sie flohen ins Land Ararat. Und sein Sohn Asar–Haddon ward König an seiner Statt.

Eines Tages, als er im Tempel seines Gottes Nisroch betete, stachen ihn seine Söhne Adrammelech und Sarezer mit dem Schwert nieder. Die beiden flohen in das Land Ararat, und Asarhaddon, ein anderer Sohn von Sanherib, wurde sein Nachfolger.

Es geschah, als er sich im Haus seines Gottes Nisroch niederwarf, da erschlugen ihn seine Söhne Adrammelech und Sarezer mit dem Schwert. Sie retteten sich in das Land Ararat und sein Sohn Asarhaddon wurde an seiner Stelle König.
