Denn so manche Stadt, so manche Götter hast du, Juda; und so manche Gassen zu Jerusalem sind, so manchen Schandaltar habt ihr aufgerichtet, dem Baal zu räuchern.

Es gibt ja so viele Götter wie Städte im Land, und in Jerusalem steht an jeder Straßenecke ein Altar für den abscheulichen Götzen Baal!

Denn so zahlreich wie deine Städte sind auch deine Götter, Juda, geworden und so zahlreich wie die Straßen Jerusalems habt ihr der Schande Altäre errichtet, Altäre, um dem Baal zu räuchern.
