So spricht der HERR von diesem Volk: Sie laufen gern hin und wieder und bleiben nicht gern daheim; darum will sie der HERR nicht, sondern er denkt nun an ihre Missetat und will ihre Sünden heimsuchen.

Aber der HERR antwortete mir: »Dieses Volk liebt es, mir davonzulaufen, sie wollen einfach nicht bei mir bleiben. Darum finde ich kein Gefallen mehr an ihnen, ich verschone sie nicht mehr, sondern ziehe sie für ihre Sünden zur Rechenschaft.«

So spricht der HERR von diesem Volk: Hin und her zu schweifen, das lieben sie; ihren Füßen gönnen sie keine Ruhe. Doch der HERR hat kein Gefallen an ihnen. Jetzt denkt er an ihre Schuld und sucht ihre Sünden heim.

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
