Freude und Wonne ist aus dem Felde weg und aus dem Lande Moab, und man wird keinen Wein mehr keltern; der Weintreter wird nicht mehr sein Lied singen

In den Obstgärten und auf den Feldern von Moab singt und jubelt man nicht mehr. Ich habe dafür gesorgt, dass niemand mehr die Trauben presst, kein Wein fließt aus der Kelter. Man hört zwar lautes Rufen — aber Freudenschreie sind es nicht!

Verschwunden sind Freude und Jubelgeschrei vom Fruchtland und vom Land Moab. Den Wein habe ich verschwinden lassen in den Kelterbecken, niemand tritt mehr die Kelter mit dem Jubelruf Hedad! — Der Jubel ist kein Jubel mehr.
